Request for Voluntary Contiguous Annexation
The Brevard City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, December 7, 2020. The hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible in the Multipurpose Chambers of the County Administration Building located at 101 S. Broad Street, Brevard, NC. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comment on a petition received August 11, 2020, requesting the annexation of a contiguous area described in said petition as the Jackson Wine, property, Transylvania County PINS 8586-64-0931-000; 8586-64-0994-000; 8586-64-0857-000 and located on Fisher Road, Brevard, NC 28712. Said property contains 0.21879474 acres. Parcel one as recorded in Plat Book 1, page 114, office of the Register of Deeds for Transylvania County and parcel 2 as recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds for Transylvania County in Deed Book 33, Page 19, and in Plat Book 1, Page 114.
The public is invited to attend this public hearing and make comment, either in favor of or in opposition to the proposed voluntary contiguous annexation. A map and metes and bounds property description, showing the area proposed for annexation is on file in the City Clerk’s Office and available for public inspection Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
