Last updated 11/23/2020 at 4:29pm

After an eight-month layoff caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the Brevard Blue Devils cross country team wasted little time Tuesday afternoon establishing themselves as one of the leading teams in the conference for the 2020-2021 season.

Led by Lucy Murray’s (20:32) overall victory, the girls’ team put up a perfect score against Hendersonville and East Henderson, scoring 15 points to Hendersonville’s 50.

Behind Murray, Isabelle Lefler (20:54), Erin Huter (22:02), Senait Richmond (22:08), and Emma Coye (22:33) all finished before Hendersonville’s top runner crossed the line.
