Council Approves E-Bikes On Multi-Use Paths – Brevard, NC

Certain e-bikes are now allowed on the city of Brevard’s multi-use paths.
Last week during its meeting, Brevard City Council amended an ordinance, allowing e-bikes (electronically propelled bicycles) on the city’s multi-use paths.
Not all classes of e-bikes will be allowed, however.
“Class 1 and Class 3 e-bikes are electrically assisted bicycles that require peddling to make them move,” City Planning Director Paul Ray told council. “Class 2 e-bikes and electric scooters are fully motorized and do not require human power, and, under this ordinance, would remain prohibited on th...
