Law Enforcement Warns About COVID-19 Scams

With the arrival of the COVID-19 vaccine in several phases, reports of vaccine scam call swindles are inevitable.
Transylvania County resident Susan Sunflower reported to The Transylvania Times that she received a suspicious call, saying her COVID-19 vaccine was scheduled for 4:30 p.m. the next day, giving no date and not saying where, and leaving a number to call back.
“With great trepidation, I called back, not really knowing how these scams work,” Sunflower said.
