What a year!
Historians and academics will feast on the meaning of 2020 for decades to come.
Like it or not, Donald Trump will soon exit the White House, having had the presidential election (stolen) from him by the forces of evil.
At the same time, it appears that effective COVID-19 vaccines are in the pipeline, giving us the hope that, by mid-2021, America might begin to enjoy the herd immunity that will allow us to return to some form of normalcy.
And, with any luck, this new normal might even include a bit of civil negotiation and compromise by our Washington legislators, a strange new normal in which doing what’s best for the nation replaces fear of not being re-elected.
Term limits, anyone?
One thing is crystal clear. If we are complacent where our form of democracy is concerned, the past four years prove that almost anything might happen.
Congratulations and Happy Holidays America…I knew we could do better!
