The prophet Isaiah said: “Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you” (Isaiah 60:1).
Today on the eve of a new year, we gladly look forward. We look forward to leaving behind a hard and difficult 2020. And we look forward in hope that our “light has come;” and in expectation and faith that things will be better if not yet back to normal. May yours be a happy and blessed new year. Brevard First UMC continues to worship virtually on Sunday mornings. You can “listen” to our service over WSQL (102 FM and 1240 AM) or “watch” us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/BrevardFirstUnitedMethodistChurch.
We hope you will join us.
Check out our live-stream Sunday service on Facebook at 10 am. As the saying goes, “nothing ventured, nothing gained.” Go to http://www.facebook.com/uutc.org. The speaker is the Rev. Bob Renjilian: “New Year’s Burning Ceremony.” This is a time of year when we look ahead to new or revived goals in our lives, and hopes for the new year. But, first, let us ceremoniously burn notes of what we leave behind with 2020. Special magic paper will be available Saturday, Jan. 2, at UUTC for this service.
