Last updated 12/30/2020 at 3:50pm

During a special meeting, Brevard City Council approved a resolution to restore 540 linear feet of Norton Creek, located adjacent to the Silversteen Playground.

The project is a part of the greater Rosenwald Revitalization, which includes the Mary C. Jenkins Community Center and the Silversteen Memorial Playground.

“Of the local match totaling $111,810, the city has spent $9,810,” said City Manager Jim Fatland said. “Remaining funds, if a grant is awarded, will come from the Rosenwald Fund Community Projects Fund.”

The city expects to hear about the grant award in April.
