Author Jones Recalls Life In Utopia, Georgia

“A Little Boy in Utopia, Georgia,” a memoir by Phil Jones is now available to the public.

Jones lived in Berrien County, Ga., from birth to age 36. In 1972, at age 15, with the support of residents, he established his neighborhood as Utopia, a community that will celebrate 50 years of its existence on March 28.

Jones attended Young Harris College, Valdosta State University and Albany State University, earning degrees in accounting and business finance, education, and a Master of Educational Leadership. For 10 years, he was employed by the Prudential Insurance Company of America as a f...
