Annual White Squirrel Day Event Going Virtual This Year

For the seventh year in a row, Feb. 2, Groundhog Day, will be celebrated as White Squirrel Day in Brevard, but with a change this year.
The downtown event that typically draws lots of onlookers is going online due to COVID-19, according to a news release.
Brevard’s ambassador white squirrel, Pisgah Pete, will once again take the helm, but his appearance will be live-streamed from a secret location in Brevard, the release said.
