Hotel Public Hearing Held – Brevard, NC

Brevard City Council Tuesday held a public hearing for the consideration of selling the 3-acre property off North Broad Street to a developer for the purpose of building an 80-room hotel.

As previously reported, the property was purchased by the city for $1,877,500, and the agreed sale price to the developer is $2,450,000.

Because of capacity limitations, the meeting, held in council chambers with new live stream equipment, was broadcast on Facebook, which, in turn, impacted how the public hearing has been changed to allow for input.
