Brevard-Davidson River Presbyterian

This Sunday, Jan. 31, we continue the sermon series, “A Time To Heal Part 5,” with the Rev. Keith Thompson. His scripture reference is Luke 8:49-56. Join us online at http://www.bdrpc.org. For more information, call 884-2645.

Brevard First UMC

Mark in his Gospel tells the story of Jesus and how he begins his earthly ministry. After calling his first disciples, Jesus goes to the synagogue and begins to teach. What is the reaction of the congregation? They are “amazed” at his teaching. Join us this Sunday as we explore what is so amazing about the master teacher.

Brevard First UMC continues to worship virtually on Sunday mornings. You can “listen” to our service over WSQL (102 FM and 1240 AM) or “watch” us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/BrevardFirstUnitedMethodistChurch).

We hope you will worship with us.

Lutheran Church Of The Good Shepherd

On the fourth Sunday after Epiphany, our worship will be based on the Gospel of Mark 1:21-28 around the theme “One with Authority.” The Gospel reveals Jesus as one whose teaching carried authority and whose words over tormented people released them from what bound them. How do we participate in the reality of Jesus’ authority to speak to our own lives? How do we live into the authority granted to us in our families, work and organizations we help sustain? Let us explore together on Sunday, with the Rev. Kenneth Albright at http://www.lutheranchurchbrevardnc.com.

A new weekly discussion series sponsored by LCGS Christian Education will start at 7 p.m., Feb. 1. Entitled “Pandemic: Epidemiology, Ethics and Theological Reflection,” the series will run for four consecutive Monday evenings via Zoom. Contact the church office for more information.

To learn more about LCGS, please contact the church office at (828) 883-3680 or email [email protected] The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd is located at 22 Fisher Road in Brevard.
