Notice of Public Hearing City of Brevard Request for Voluntary Contiguous Annexation

The Brevard City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, February 15, 2021. The hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible in the Multipurpose Chambers of the County Administration Building located at 101 S. Broad Street, Brevard, NC. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comment on a petition received November 17, 2020, requesting the annexation of a contiguous area described in said petition as the Richard Libby, property, Transylvania County PIN 8585-35-1540-000 and located on Forest Hill Road in Brevard, NC 28712. Said property contains 0.672 acres. Recorded in Plat File 19, Slide 328, and Transylvania County Registry.

The public is invited to attend this public hearing and make comment, either in favor of or in opposition to the proposed voluntary contiguous annexation. Please be sure to wear a mask and social distancing will be required. A map and metes and bounds property description, showing the area proposed for annexation is on file in the City Clerk’s Office and available for public inspection Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
