Deputy Chief Jordan: Policing The Same At Its Core – Brevard, NC

Whether it’s 500 square miles, or 5 miles, of jurisdiction, the mission of law enforcement remains consistent, according Tom Jordan, the newly appointed deputy chief of the Brevard Police Department (BPD).

On moving from Montgomery County, Md., which has a population of 1.1 million, with a police staff of 1,300 sworn officers and 600 civilians, to the smaller city of Brevard, Jordan said the challenges and goals of policing are still there.
