COVID-19 Vaccination

Last updated 2/3/2021 at 4:33pm

Carol and I were among the few fortunate persons able to lock in a reservation and receive our first COVID-19 immunizations last week. As any of you who have had the experience know, the sign-up process is somewhat hectic.

However, with some frantic effort Carol was able to reserve a spot at the Baptist Tabernacle Church in Rosman. I managed to obtain a reservation to receive an immunization at Carr’s Hill Baptist Church.

Based on our experience signing up, we were a bit apprehensive regarding the vaccination procedure but were presently surprised when, at both locations, we found it to be very well organized. Upon arrival we were met, right away, by friendly, masked assistants who had our paperwork ready for us to verify and sign. We then proceeded to the nurse’s station, where we received our immunization by simply rolling down the car windows and extending our arms. The entire process, including the mandatory 15-minute wait following the injection, took less than 20 minutes.

Many thanks to the medical team and EMT personnel who made our receiving the first of our COVID-19 immunizations so very efficient and pleasant.
