Recently, the county commissioners and county manager heard from the county finance director that sales tax revenues since the beginning of the pandemic are up 10 percent over 2019 and are on trend to generate $1.1 million in unplanned revenues. County leaders moved swiftly to approve cost of living wage increases for county employees, fund various capital projects and allocate funding for the landfill.
