Braves Pile Up Points To Win SMC Shootout Over Tigers

Tiger quarterback Tyler Stamey finished with a pair of touchdown runs in Friday's home opener against Cherokee.

The scoreboard at Silversteen Memorial Stadium was all aflutter Friday night, as the offense of the Rosman Tigers and Cherokee Braves ran wild.

The two sides combined to score 55 points in the second half. Unfortunately, most of those belonged to the Braves, as Cherokee came away with a 49-28 victory.

Neither defense could do much to stop the bleeding, as all but one possession in the second half resulted in a touchdown.

For Cherokee, junior quarterback Donald Bradley was a one-man wrecking crew, using his elusiveness to escape the pocket and pick up huge gains all night.
