Annette Vaughn Furr

Annette Vaughn Furr, 94, of The Village at Brookwood in Burlington, N.C., passed away peacefully Feb. 21, 2021, at Alamance Regional Medical Center, after a period of declining health.

Born in Winston-Salem, N.C. Dec. 21, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Numa Madison Vaughn and Pearl Sink Vaughn. She was predeceased by three sisters, Isabel Turner, Marion (Pete) Owen, and Margaret (Toby) Bovender; and brother, Sam Vaughn.

She is survived by her husband, James F. Furr, of Burlington; a son, James F. Furr Jr. and wife, Susan, of Rockledge, Fla .; daughter, Rosalind (Lynn) Wilson and husband, Mike, of Burlington; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Brevard, where she served as secretary for 31 years. She enjoyed countless annual RV trips across the United States, bird watching and volunteering.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
