Lady Tigers Denied Comeback Bid After Umpire's Ruling

A controversial call in the bottom of the seventh inning cost the Rosman Lady Tigers a chance at a comeback on Tuesday as the home side fell 5-4 to the Murphy Bulldogs in a Smoky Mountain Conference clash.

Needing two runs to extend the game and down to the final out, Nikki Galloway delivered a single to left field that drove in one run to cut the lead in half.

However, Reagan Chapman, attempting to advance to third base from first on the play, was ruled out, bringing the game to a bitter end for home fans.
