An Average of 6.5 Inches Of Rain Was Dumped On The County

Transylvania County's penchant for extreme rainfall events returned on Thursday accompanied by thunder, lightening and an average of 6.5 inches of rain throughout the county.
From Thursday to Sunday, there was 7 to 8 inches of rainfall, according to Doug Outlaw, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Greer, S.C.
