Harvey Woodrow Fields "Sonny"

It is with heavy hearts that Harvey Woodrow Fields “Sonny” left his body March 26, 2021, just after an incredible rainstorm. He carried a burden that he is now free of, and that we can now be free of.
He loved his siblings, children and grandchildren immensely. He was happiest being a road warrior visiting us all in North Carolina, Ohio, Utah and Florida. So that’s what he did in his retired last few years. He had just completed this familial loop seeing all of his family in the last year, and for that we are blessed. He would give the shirt off of his back, his last dollar to any of us, and happily make a song about it.
He helped us all with projects around our homes, gardens, and loved being a humble assistant. Violet flowers grow in his footsteps. Family, classic country music and old westerns were his favorite things. He dreamed of a log cabin in the country.
He is survived by his loving sister, Darlene Melfi, and her beautiful family that loved him so much; his brother and family, Jake and Dor Fields; his beloved comedian sister, Gloria Conely, in Ohio; his four children, Sarah Lyn, Joshua Dean, James Brandon and Amanda Sue; and grandchildren, Isis Lilly, Preston Scott and Bodhi Elohi.
Daddy was the most incredibly kind, simple and humble sage with a heart of gold. He loved his guitar and writing songs. His wishes were for us all to get along and be kind to one another.
