Six months after completion, a wetland habitat restoration project that included the French Broad River is showing positive results.

Conserving Carolina's natural resources manager David Lee recently discussed the results of a section of the river in Mills River during a Transylvania Natural Resources Council (TNRC) meeting.

The wetland restoration aimed to restore farmland along the bank of Mud Creek, where it meets the French Broad. In a short time, Conserving Carolina has documented extensive wildlife use of the property. Conserving Carolina completed the roughly $1.4 million projec...
