Officials: A Second Courtroom Critical – Transylvania County, NC

Options for a needed second courtroom space will be discussed today during the Transylvania County Board of Commissioners' regular meeting.

The second courtroom in the current courthouse hasn't been used in nearly two years. Court officials say it is too small and unsafe. COVID-19's impact has delayed jury trials, and Clerk of Court Kristi Brown has asked commissioners to find a second courtroom space to clear the case backlog.
