Today marks the 51st anniversary of the first Earth Day, an appropriate time to reflect upon the status of this natural world and our relation to it from a national, local and individual perspective.
The concept behind Earth Day is fairly simple – we need to conserve, and, whenever possible, preserve our natural resources. Doing so benefits not only animal and plant life, but also mankind.
