Justin Tucker And His Service Dog, Reaper, Receive Quilts Of Valor

The Blue Ridge Chapter of Quilts of Valor Foundation presented a handmade patriotic quilt to U.S. Army veteran Justin Tucker on May 22 at the Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas.

Tucker served in the U.S. Army from 2005 to 2009 in Operation Iraqi Freedom. His deployment was cut short when he sustained injuries from a grenade attack. He served in the 4th Infantry Division, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment.

His quilt was made by U.S. Army Veteran Bonnie Hartel and quilted by Rachel Draughon. Tucker's service dog Reaper received a unique Quilt of Honor made by Bonnie Cunningham an...
