Last updated 5/26/2021 at 12:03pm

Hats off to Reading @ your library through the Adult Summer Reading program at the Transylvania County Library!

Register just once by calling, coming by the circulation desk or going online with your library card beginning Monday, June 7. Every time you read or listen to five books during the summer reading dates, let the library know by phone, in person or online. Your name will be entered in drawings for a chance to win prizes that include gift certificates to Second Story Book Store and local eateries, as well as other surprises. Weekly prize drawings will begin on Friday, June 25. The last day for submitting entries is Thursday, Aug. 5. The Grand Prize will be drawn on Friday, Aug. 6.

Adult Summer Reading is a unique opportunity to give a nod to books for pleasure, wave a greeting to new knowledge and tip your cap to the joy of exploring new worlds. Honor the library lover that you are and lift your hat to salute a potential broad brim of prizes. Why let the kids have all the fun this summer?

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and made possible by funding through Friends of the Library memberships and sales from their Second Story Book Store, annual book sale, and online book sales. Contact Transylvania County Library for more information at (828) 884-3151.
