Museum Representatives Visit The Spartanburg Chapter Of Vietnam Veterans Of America

On May 8, Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas founder and curator Emmett Casciato and WWII veteran Harold Wellington made a presentation to the Spartanburg chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America. Casciato shared information about the museum’s exhibits and mission. Wellington told stories about his service in the Merchant Marine.

Casciato presented a $500 donation to the organization’s president, Larry Miller, from the Toni Lee Casciato Memorial Fund. He also presented a certificate of appreciation for their work and 30 signed copies of the book “Welcome Home, Brother,” authored by museum board member Michel Robertson.

Representatives of the Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas share information about their exhibits with many organizations in the region. To arrange an educational program, contact Casciato at (828) 884-2141. The museum is located at 21 E. Main St. next to the courthouse in Brevard. Admission is free.
