Court System Hoping To Return To Normal

As COIVD-19 restrictions relax around the country, the Transylvania County court system is on its way to reaching a relative “normal,” but the impacts of the past year are still being felt.

Judges are once again hearing trials and civil cases, which were stopped over the past year during the pandemic restrictions.

Due to the restrictions, an already burdened court system throughout the country grew even more backlogged.

In Transylvania County, challenges unique to the county’s 1873 courthouse also exacerbated problems.
