Judge Rules Local Man Doesn't Have To Give Up Animals

Rosman resident Robert Elden Haas has come under the attention of several animal activists recently after being arrested on dozens of misdemeanor charges of animal cruelty and one felony charge of killing an animal by starvation.
Last week, Judge Thomas Brittain ruled in Haas’ case that he would not have to give up 11 animals he has recently acquired since being released from jail in March, when he had to forfeit ownership of 41 dogs and 12 exotic birds.
