Blueway Plan Development Underway

When complete, the blueway plan for the French Broad River will aim to improve access for locals and visitors and the overall experience of those using it.

Plans to develop a new "blueway" path through Transylvania County are underway after Conserving Carolina recently received a $25,000 grant from Transylvania County Tourism (TCT) to study the French Broad River and create an action plan for the project.

A blueway is like the water equivalent of a greenway, or a public path, with multiple access points meant to connect different parts of the community.
