Asheville Airport Makes Several Changes To Parking
Last updated 7/5/2021 at 11:53am
Asheville Regional Airport has implemented several changes to its parking operation. Specif-ically, the shuttle lot located directly across the street from the main entrance of the airport is now open; the cell phone lot will temporarily close; and parking rates have increased.
The shuttle lot at the airport was under construction prior to the pandemic and was completed last year. Now that passenger traffic has returned to high levels and growth is continuing, the airport opened the shuttle lot, so passengers have additional parking options available. A shuttle will operate to and from the lot and the front curb of the terminal. The shuttle will also make stops in the daily lot to assist passengers to and from the terminal.
The cell phone lot, which was located in the shuttle lot area, has closed. This lot is the complimentary area, where visitors can wait in their cars to pick up passengers at the airport. A new cell phone lot will be constructed soon, with anticipated completion this fall.
The new parking rates are as follows:
•Hourly lot rates (no change): up to 30 minutes, $1; each additional 30 minutes, $1; and the more than four hours daily maximum, $25.
•Garage parking rates (increase from $12/day to $13/day): Up to one hour, $2; each additional hour, $2 (up to four hours); more than four hours/daily maximum, $13; weekly rate, $78 (seventh day is free).
•Daily lot rates (increase from $9/day to $10/day): up to one hour, $2; each additional hour, $2; more than fours/daily maximum, $10; and weekly maximum, $60 (seventh day is free).
•Shuttle lot rates (new lot): up to one hour, $2; each additional hour, $2; more than fours/daily maximum, $10; and weekly maximum, $60 (seventh day is free).
