Brevard Rotary Club Hosts 5K, Planning Other Events

On July 3, 238 registered runners enjoyed perfect weather, and at the starting line running under the big American flag, set up on the fire ladder by the Brevard Fire Department.

It was quite a spectacle.

The depot on Railroad Avenue was the start and finish for the annual Firecracker 5K and will be for all the Rotary Club of Brevard races for 2021 and beyond.

It is a perfect facility for outdoor events, according to a Rotary press release, which, along with the races, has hosted a cornhole competition and the start of the Rotary's combined Blue Zone Moia's.
