Panthertown Volunteering: A Great Way To Give Back

Panthertown is one of Southern Appalachia's crown gems.

The 10,000-acre swathe of land known as the "Yosemite of the East" has historically been a mixed bag of logging land, privately-owned woods, various ecologists' proving ground and, of course, the outdoors folks' hub that we know it as today.

According to its website, Panthertown serves "more than 35,000 visitors each year coming for the cascading waters, trout streams, panoramic views, sheer granite cliffs, and backcountry experience," and maintaining a trail system to accommodate that ever-growing foot traffic requires help.
