Sidney Outlaw Discusses The Long-Lasting Impact Of His Teachers And His Ancestors

From the Brevard High School marching band to Carnegie Hall, and, just recently, at the Brevard Music Center, Sidney Outlaw has performed all over the world.

Outlaw, who also attended Brevard elementary and middle schools, is a Grammy-nominated opera singer now living in Ithaca, New York, whose musical education started in Transylvania County.

"I've had wonderful teachers. I've never had a bad teacher, and it started right there in Brevard," Outlaw said during a recent interview.
