School Board Can Revisit Decision

With a new school year arriving, I am happy to see in-school learning for our children.

However, I am disappointed Gov. Cooper only recommends N.C. schools require wearing of masks rather than exercising his authority to mandate their use. As a result, this has put enormous pressure on local Boards of Education to maintain a mask mandate.

As children are returning to school there is a surge in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations fueled by the rapid spread of the Delta coronavirus.
