Muddy Sneakers Seeking Local Support For Its Programs

Muddy Sneakers, a Brevard-born nonprofit, has been igniting a love for the outdoors in 5th grade students since 2007. It was founded by regional leaders Sandy Schenck, Chuck McGrady and Aleen Steinberg in hopes of better connecting local elementary students to the natural resources in their community. In spring 2008, Brevard and Pisgah Forest elementary schools became the organization’s founding schools and consistent partners ever since.
