Veterans Affairs Will Accept New Gulf War Veterans Claims

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has announced it will accept disability claims from Gulf War veterans who developed asthma, rhinitis or sinusitis because of their exposure to burn pits during overseas deployments. To qualify, the above conditions must have started (and medically identified as such) within 10 years of a veteran’s deployment.
