Some Veterans May Now Be Eligible For Unused Education Assistance Refunds

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has determined approximately 115,000 veterans may be eligible for a refund of their unused Veterans’ Educat-ional Assistance Program (VEAP) contributions total-ing up to $2,700. The VA wants to reach the individuals that might be eligible.
The VA has determined that approximately 115,000 post-Vietnam era veterans are entitled to a refund of contributions they made to the VEAP program.
