Brevard Loses Tight Game To Asheville, 16-14

Despite a strong performance in front of a raucous cheer night crowd, the Brevard Blue Devils suffered their first loss, a narrow defeat of 16-14 against the Asheville Cougars.

Brevard started off strong, as upon winning the coin toss to start its offense, the Blue Devils kick off had distance on it, and the Cougars were not able to notch much distance, being tackled almost immediately. Though Asheville's Tre McGahee managed to make some short yard gains on rush plays, it wasn't enough to place his team in a position to acquire a first down, which resulted in a punt.
