School Celebrates Milestone

Staff members at Davidson River School received individual certifications after completing the necessary coursework to be qualified as Trauma-Skilled School instructors.

Davidson River School (DRS) celebrated a milestone Friday, as DRS officially received certification as a Trauma -Skilled School.

Developed by the National Dropout Prevention Center in 2018, the Trauma-Skilled Schools (TSS) model works to build among staff a greater capacity and ability to understand students' trauma and to create strategies and policies to help heal that trauma, so students are able to learn.
