School Board Upholds Mask Requirement

During its regular meeting tonight, the Transylvania County Board of Education voted 4-1 to require, for at least the next month, the continuing mandatory wearing of masks for students, staff and visitors inside school buildings.
Kimsey Jackson was again the lone vote against the move, as he was in the last vote to initially make mask wearing mandatory. As per state law, the school board must address the decision once a month.
