Cougars Race Past Tigers In Western Highlands Contest

Sophomore quarterback Alex Jenkins dumps the ball off in the face of heavy pressure from the Mountain Heritage defense. The Tigers lost to the Cougars 52-13 at home on Friday night.

It was trial by fire for the Rosman Tigers on Friday night as they squared off against the Mountain Heritage Cougars in their conference game as part of the new 1A/2A Western Highlands Conference.

Unfortunately for the orange-and-black, the visitors raced off to a 38-0 nothing lead by halftime, going on to take the game by a final score of 52-13.

Despite the lopsided score, there were some positive takeaways, as the Tigers' offense put together its best outing of the season, including some big plays and a pair of lengthy second-half scoring drives.
