New Leadership Taking Over Brevard Police

After 11 years the city of Brevard will welcome a new police chief, as Tom Jordan takes over the reins of the Brevard Police Department (BPD) and former chief Phil Harris transitions into an advisory role before taking his full retirement.

Harris, a native of Gastonia, became BPD chief in July 2010 after an extensive career in law enforcement, including 25 years with the Tempe Police Department in Arizona.
