City Approves Driveway Change

A recent amendment to Brevard’s Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) aims to allow for greater residential infill while larger infrastructure projects are on the horizon for next year.
At last week’s City Council meeting, members unanimously approved an amendment exempting residential urban infill development from minimum driveway separations on public roadways with a speed limit of 35 miles per hour or less.
The amendment also exempts driveways off new, dead-end streets where the speed limit is 30 miles per hour or less.
