Outrage should be the appropriate response to our county commissioners’ decision to vote against the proposed resolution to expand Medicaid for North Carolinians who have no options for health care coverage.

After reading the carefully detailed analysis on the needs outlined in the Oct. 18 edition of The Times and learning that six other western N.C. counties passed this resolution, one can only surmise there is a shortage of empathy and a blatant refusal here to understand the health care needs of the 20 percent of workers unable to afford coverage.

Just maybe this will hit home somed...
