I recently led a self-care workshop for the Blue Zones Project in Brevard. During the session, I paired people up for a resiliency exercise. Afterwards, an older gentleman approached me with tears in his eyes. He said he had no idea how badly he needed this type of meaningful dialogue. He shared, “I had forgotten what it’s like to remember I’m not alone with my struggles and fears. I’m realizing: I really need connection.”
