School Board Hears About Apartment Complex Proposal

For several years, plans were proposed to build affordable housing on property owned by the school system opposite Brevard High School. That effort eventually failed but a new, somewhat similar proposal for some of the same property is now on the table.

During its regular meeting Monday, the Transylvania County Board of Education heard about initial plans for an 84-unit apartment complex on property that sits off Country Club Road.
