Students Ask For Mental Health Help

On Wednesday morning, a number of Brevard High School students gathered at the football stadium to raise awareness about mental health issues.

On Wednesday morning, a number of the Brevard High School student body staged a walkout to raise awareness about mental health issues in response to recent deaths among students in the school system.

Heather Woody and Annie Kessinger, who were two of the first students to begin the walkout, explained the purpose of the walkout.

Woody said there has been a significant amount of frustration among students for the perceived lack of support for their mental health concerns.
